Hole # 1Score All
The waterfall This excellent starting hole gives the golfer an indication of what lies ahead in the next 4 hours. Rolling hills, water features and well placed bunkers will all command your attention. Keep the ball slightly right of the fairway centerline to stay out of trouble and enable an easy shot to the green to start the day with a par.
Mahogany Forest This par 4 demands discipline from the tee. Good length to stay clear of the fairway bunkers on the right, mounding and trees on the left, but don't drive so long as to allow the ball to run into the lake beyond. An accurate mid to long iron into a firm green will make par a good score.
Beach Bunker A delightfully attractive par 3 but not just for the lake and beach bunker. Be sure to hit the right part of the green to ensure a good score, or else, just enjoy the scenery.
Fade Towards Heaven Don't be tempted to cut the dogleg on this par 4. Water, bunkers, and new trees are awaiting the over ambitious driver. Aim for the center of the fairway followed by an accurate approach shot to avoid the new greenside bunker nestled into the edge of the green.
Brave HeartA challenging par 5 requiring a straight drive down the centerline. With mounds on the left and water on the right, birdie opportunities maybe hard to come by. Your third shot needs thought with bunkers well placed to protect the green.
Fish Tailed Palm ParadiseAim for the flag. This green is severely contoured placing a premium on accuracy from the tee. A challenging green in any condition but when the surface is firm and the speeds are high, this par 3 could severely affect your scorecard.
Double or NothingThis par 5 requires a strategic decision from the tee. A long and straight drive opens the possibility for being on the green in two. Though the green, constructed on an island will require a second shot of unquestionable accuracy. A conservative second shot will give a better chance of success on this hole
The Jungle of No ReturnWith bunkers left and right of the fairway, accuracy is again required. The contouring of the fairway can provide an unpredictable lie if you hit a less-than-perfect tee shot. With a pin placement behind the greenside bunkers, your second shot will determine the outcome of this hole.
Dessert of SandA short but demanding par 4, the spectacular expanse of sand will hopefully not be an issue. The greenside contouring, can however, upset golfers who allow their shots to roll into the deep swale off the right side of the green. Bunkers on the left side further protect the green ensuring a good close to the first 9 holes.
Elephant's BackA scenic hole where the long stretch of sand can become a factor with errant tee shots. An accurate second shot will create a birdie opportunity on this subtle unprotected green.
Island GreenPlenty of space to open up off the tee on this hole but don't go to the right if the rough grass is too long. Don't be fooled by a relatively short approach shot to the green for it is surrounded on three sides by water and the fourth side by a bunker. Good luck!
Valley of MoundsThis stunning par 3 signature hole is not only beautiful with an extensive beach bunker and a nicely framed green, but notoriously demanding too. Any pin placement is tough, for the contouring will ensure a true test of putting skill. Take time to savor the very essence of Alpine Golf Club.
Tiger & yesA strategic hole, taking the fairway bunkers into consideration is critical for success. The addition of a new fairway bunker, deceptively placed on this right to left sloping fairway towards water, extra thought is required to decide if the carry is a worthwhile risk. Big hitters will be rewarded with a short chip to a sloping green; best to be below the pin when the green speeds are high.
The World of AlpineAn elevated tee presents the hole in its entirety before you. A birdie chance on this par 5 if you are lucky to have a tailwind. Accuracy is required from the tee for the fairway is tight and the sand hazards plentiful. Your second shot may well find the green but be aware of pin placements tucked behind the greenside bunker. It could cost you a couple of shots.
Hidden TargetOver 200 yards to a large well protected green will emphasize your long iron and putting ability. With the addition of a new bunker in front of the green, expect tight pin placements to increase the pressure.
Peninsular LandingStrategy. A well struck drive on this short par 4 will leave an easy chip to a relatively unprotected green. A big drive down the left side over the trees will give a chance of being on the green in one. The risk is high but the reward could be a birdie, or better. If the competition is tight, expect this hole to deliver some drama.
Devil's BunkerA long open hole with hazards in just the right places to spoil what could be a birdie chance at the penultimate hole. From the tee be careful of the water to the right, and mounding on the left. The green is well protected to the front and left making two shots on to the green a real challenge.
Champion's ChallengeThis hole is a great test when under pressure. An accurate drive will be rewarded with a short iron to the green but care must be taken in getting close to the pin; there's just enough slope and bunkers in the surrounding contours to penalize the nervous golfer.
